If anyone could please tell me where I could buy some big thick fluffy towels (white) that would be great. Don't want to be spending thousands at Lane Crawford or Sogo, and reckon there must be alternatives, other than stealing from hotels...thanks

Gresson Street is the cross street between Queen's Road East and Johnston or Wanchai Road. It's sort of in the middle of the stretch between Hopewell Centre and Pacific Place. Do check the map.
They sell cheap towels including hotel-type white fluffy towels.

Sometimes the top hotels actually will sell you the great towels, robes and bedlines at quite reasonable prices (to stop people stealing them) why not check with the hyatt etc - especially if you want quite a few or matching ones.

I've been into the towel shop in Wanchai a couple of times, it's hit and miss depending on the stock of the day, worth going a few times to see what's there.
Otherwise, if you are looking for matching sets "Inside" at Horizon Plaza have some good stock.

Do you have a towel warmer? If not, you may find your thick, fluffy towels are smelly within 24 hours of being used in HK - the humidity in the HK summer prevents them airing as they would in Europe/US/Oz. However, if you do decide to get thick, fluffy ones and if you are buying enough to make the GBP40 overnight courier fee worthwhile, the finest quality you will find are these:

Was just down at Sogo, they have 20% of Sheridan towels which are pretty good quality.
