Pet export

In the midst of planning to relocate to Australia near the middle of the year, I hoped to get some feedback or reviews on those suppliers of pet relocation. There appear to be a number of major pet exporting services available in Hong Kong, some of whom have supplied quotations for us, but now seems to be the best time to gather some case history or testimonials from any one who would care to provide us with some assistance. Price is only a part of the equation when dealing with our furry family members.
Please let us know of your good or bad experiences with any of the providers, as we highly value your input.

I would also recommend Ferndale.They shipped my dog from the U.S. to Hong Kong without a hitch.They even stopped to give her a potty break on the way from the airport to my flat and later cleaned out her crate. They also shipped two guinea pigs from HK to the Philippines, which is a bit unusual. They arranged for an agent there to make sure everything went smoothly. They were pricey but it was worth every penny for the confidence of knowing my animals were in good hands. I will use them again when I go back to the U.S. this year.

I spent a lot of time looking at pet exporters as my dog comes in and out of HK regularly. I did a google on pet exporters and asked for recommendations on the Facebook HK Dog Owners Group, which was very helpful! Suggest you try there as its a wealth of information. When I googled I came across some interesting stories about an ex HKDR dog called Jay whose pet exporter opened the cage in an un secure area at the airport and the dog escaped and was tragically killed. I understand there was also a similar incident with the exported that has been recommended above that came up when googled.

I also called the various rescues to ask for recommendations. They receive them from various Owners who adopt.

I decided to use George of International Pet Travel as he came highly recommended from posters on the Dog Owners Face Book page and as a friend had used him many times to transport her lab. I can not fault his service, I think it is excellent and I will continue to use him.
