Pacific place and IFC are easy to drive to but could depend on which direction you are coming from. Usually it is not really cost effective to drive though. The amount you pay on a taxi can be the same as the car park fee.

The Cheung Kong centre is a nice big, easy carpark. Many carparks offer 2 hours free parking with receipts. Its also worth knowing that Government carparks are pretty cheap after 7pm weekdays, and after 2pm saturdays, with a maximum $60 fee (notably the one under Immigration tower).

The government car parks are a bargain when going to a show in Wanchai - I love it when you drive in on a weeknight - the parking attendants tell you that you need to be out by 7am....the rates also apply to all Sunday.

I have found the star ferry carpark to be the cheapest for the location - $20/hour or $23 not bad considering where it is. Causeway Bay I find prohibitive. There is also the Cosco tower in Sheung Wan which is only $20 an hour. The Murray Building is also reasonable - (near where the Furama hotel (used) to be...(is the Furama still there??)

It is a bit trickier to get into, but still OK in price considering its location.

I wouldn't pay to park in town all day unless i had a monthly ticket - even then if there was a park and ride alternative I would take that before spending money on long day parking.

The one good thing about pay for parking is that usually you can get a car park!
