where can i buy one of those heavy duty blender that is used by the bar? preferably a glass type i've been using the plastic ones and they normally don't last very long. i used it alot to make smoothies, curry paste, etc.

fortress does sell a top home quality blender. It has bearings in it, etc. Always go for quality in this type of item. Higher end departments stores such as Sogo or wing on may have one as well... There is a westinghouse in causeway bay but am not sure they sell blenders...

Panhandler have Kitchen Aid, they may also sell them on Shanghai Street.

hi moonriver, that link was very helpful and helped to answer my question why kitchen aid brand is so $$$. seems like a good investment if it can last a few years.

My mother has been using Kitchen Aid brand (about 30 yrs) and it's still working today no problems
