Netvigator broadband

Last time I was in HK, the place I stayed at had Netvigator broadband installed. It worked, but it was a pain to have to log in to use it...

Do they still do that? I noticed that if you get a month-to-month plan, you only get a certain amount of hours.. I assume you would have to sign in for that to keep track. But what if you get a contract plan, with unlimited usage?

If they DO still require the annoying log on (and the requirement to keep a browser window open at all times) what are some providers that do NOT have this requirement?

Thanks!

I know what a router is, thanks ;)

Thanks for the advice. I guess it uses PPPoE for authentication? Or maybe one of the others like L2TP. In that case yeah, a router will do just nicely.

On a side note, what are some other providers? I remember So-Net being big when I was there a couple years ago, but I checked out there site and it doesn't look like they were in the ISP business anymore...

I was looking at the package deals from Netvigator, and it seems incredibly reasonable.. I pay about $100 CAD ($670 HKD) a month for my internet (8MB) and TV (50+ channels) here in Vancouver.

But by the sounds of it on other threads, Now-TV doesn't work all that well...

Do any of the NOW TV channels play Formula 1 races live?
