Registering with ebay HK

Hi

I'm trying to register through ebay hk and am using babel fish as a translation tool.

Everything is fine except the registration page will not accept my electricity postal address - says it's invalid. My babel fish translation tells me it want me to input an effective elecricity postal address.

I'm simply typing it as it appears on the bill - but the bill has the address over 3 lines and there's only 1 line on the ebay registration page.

Anyone done this? Any thoughts/insights appreciated.

Thanks to you both for the suggestions.

I'll be taking this to work tomorrow - just thought there may someone who had already trailblazed this path.

Otherwise I'll simply register in Oz and swap it over later - just wanted to register here if I could.

just register in US and change your address to Hong Kong. No need to use the Chinese website ever.

Do you mean buying items from people in Hong Kong? Be careful if their adverts are in Chinese and you are using an on-line translator - also the seller may not speak English. If you are buying from an English ad (whrere they could be based anywhere) then you should have no problem as long as they are trustworthy and you understand the postal costs...

For future reference - If you use altavista's Babel Fish for translating the ebay hk registration page it gives a bum steer asking for electricity postal address - you put your email address in there!

Fully registered through HK ebay now - it's nice to win the little battles from time to time.
