My little girl is at an international school. She's very confident in mandarin speaking and she recognises characters well.
She lags behind in writing paragraphs which is very important because she's in the top class.
She currently has mandarin tuition twice a week.
My question is, would it be worth letting her learn Chinese in cantonese (she's 80% fluent in cantonese) to help her with the paragraph writing?
She's already 8 years old.
Your advise will be much appreciated.

I would suggest sticking to Mandarin and learn paragraph writing using Mandarin. Spoken cantonese is different from written cantonese so you will be opening another can of worms if you go down that route.
