Is it possible to be a nurse in Hong Kong without speaking Cantonese? Also are there many jobs available for nurses?
Thanks

i've seen non-cantonese speaking nurses but at exclusive hospitals like the matilda and the adventist.
maybe you can start there and check their websites too.

Also some doctors surgeries have nurses that do not require cantonese speaking.

btw - regarding Mango's comment about communicating with patients without knowing the language.
Mango, there are doctors in hong kong who are not chinese and there are those who do not speak the language, and yet they have been serving Hong kong for a number of years.
Also if you are aware, there are organizations such as Medicins sans Frontiers (Doctors without borders). These charities comprise of medical professionals who provide healthcare for countries where medical help is needed the most like Africa and China. They don't necessarily speak the language but through their work, have alleviated the quality of people's health.

Check out HKU - they do nursing degrees there. (In english)
Why would you need to work in a hospital while studying- you would only get a very low paying orderly job doing that.
