the street that has all the jewellery supply stores is off pei ho street. but i can't remember which side of cheung sha wan road it is on. i think it is exit A2 and then walk down to the next street, Yu Chau street and cross the road. does anyone know if this is definitly the street?

Hung Hom in Kowloon is an industrial complex of factories upon factories of jewelry-making. I know there are lots of shops for lab instruments and window displays and such. I don't know for sure that there are shops for jewelry-making only (because that would mean I would have to visit every shop which will take a few days), but it's a good shot because that's the mecca of jewelry in Hong Kong.

Sham Shui Po is the best. Take the Tsuen Wan MTR line and get off at SSP. "A" exit and walk straight ahead, cross the big roads and there's two streets full of the beading shops. My favourite is the "Bao Qua Ornament Co" 241 Ki Lung St.
