I was wondering if anyone knew of a cheap monthly car park rental around Cnetral or Sheung Wan, or anywhere else on HK Island!

Sorry - no such thing, but i understand one of the banks is able to lend you money so you can buy a carpark....that sounds like a neat investment - so when you can't pay the rent on your apartment you can camp out on that little space....

Well, depends what your definition of 'cheap' is, I was thinking of 7 to 8K per month with security, is that very hard to find on HK island? Thanks for your answers.

I think klipper is having you on mbernede! You should be able to get something between 2,500 to 4,000 per month and not have to pay 12 months in advance. We are in mid levels and pay 3,800 per month for a secure underground car pay accessed by keycard and pin number. Unfortunately it is for residents of the block but you should be able to find similar by advertising on this site. Good luck.

The Centrium building is around 4 and a half a month in central but it is a bit slow on the lifts and can take a while to get to your spot if it is on the eight floor. Across the road in arbuthnot road my husband rents a spot for 2,600 a month on the ground floor- dedicated spot and pays monthly. C/o Cititop Holdings Limited, Tel 2381 2391.... it is in a building in 15 Arbuthnot road but perhaps they have other sites as well. No keycard but security provided by guard boomgate and cameras as it is quite a small carpark.

Thank you all for your suggestions, I have actually found one at IFC indeed, and sorry "klipper" but I certainly wouldn't do business with a person that still uses an expression such as 'Must be straight off the banana boat to ask a question like that!'

The above comments says it all "nothing cheap" in this town. However if you are looking to park on Robinson Rd or Conduit Road and take the escalator downtown you might be lucky. Check out the AsiaXpat - car parking rental. There are owners from time to time that are not asking for the world for less than 100sf of parking space.

Check out the AsiaXpat - car parking rental. There are owners from time to time that are not asking for the world for less than 100sf of parking space.
