anyone know at good cheap salon where they speak English in central?

Try Mina Devwil along the escalator. Had luck twice with the stylist speaking decent English - cost only around $100.

1/F at Hutchinson cost $240 ($280 with shampoo). It was a salon, not a barber. Mandarin is $410 with a shampoo. Any other suggestions close to Star Ferry?

I used to go to Talliana when I had enough hair to warrant visiting a barber..


I think they charge around $140 for a men's cut - they have a ladies section as well.


There is a branch on the 1st floor of Melbourne Plaza, and another (I think) in Bank of America Tower.

some decent places on hennessy rd (wan chai - sorry) for $58 (roughly near the computer center 297 hennessy road i think). also a place on Jervois street in Sheung Wan (very near central - from the Fitness First on Queen's rd. walk down jervois street for 1 min, place is on the left side of the street - orange decoration) for $68
