Just because there is no tax, it does not mean it is cheap. the website Strawberrynet also has reasonable prices for perfumes. It often a case of choice. Some perfumes are not found in HK shops but are found in duty free ones.

My friend used to work for Sasa and what she told me was that all their products are genuine and all are within sales validity dates. However, where as all cosmetic companies airships their products, Sasa uses ocean freight to save costs - which means they sit in a hot container for several weeks and sometimes products change in its color or smell due to heat. After I heard that, I don't buy products from Sasa anymore. I just don't feel good knowing that they sat in a heat for a long time.

Here is one more tip for you Foolonahill about Lane Crawford. Cosmetic counters are operated on consignment base in Lane Crawford as they do in most of dept. stores. Therefore, sometimes - depending on the sales clerk - if you ask for discount, they either give you some or give you bunch of freebies. All you have to do is ask.
