Semi-Permanent Hair Dyes

ORIGINAL POST

I have looked in all the obvious spots (Mannings, Watsons, Dept Stores etc) and they all only stock Permanent Hair Colours. When I ask for Semi-Permanent (e.g. washes out in 24 washes - commonly available in Boots/Superdrug in the UK) people look at me blankly. Anyone?

One by Wella used to be sold here but haven't seen it for a couple of years.

I think it's because semi-permanents don't tend to work well on Asian (black) hair so there's not much call to stock them?? Maybe your best bet is to get someone to send it over for you or stock up next time you're in UK (or Australia, wherever). I have seen it on the menu at hairdressers here, mind, so it might mean forking out to have your hair coloured at a salon rather than doing it (nice and cheaply!) at home yourself.

I have around 4 Boots and Nicky Clarke semi's that I bought on a trip home and stocked up. Sadly, I now need permanent to cover the grey! Depending on the colour you are ( these are browns/reds/chestnut etc.) I am happy to sell to you?

Sorry, I also meant to add, that I have looked in the past for semi's to no avail. Hence the massive buy in the UK. I don't want to come over as some dodgy dealer type!
