I am going to buy a 'small' car and would like people's thoughts/advice on the most practical, economical, best service, best price, etc....
It wil be use mainly to drive to work and ferry my lovely little rugrats around and I have looked at the Jazz, Yaris, Mini, 323, and would like people's opnions.
Also, are you able to knock down the retail price or is it stuck?

I love my little Yaris, very good build quality for such an inexpensive car - $125k on the road incl. fully comp ins. I didn't haggle on the price I preferred to have a happy salesman who could throw in a few extras, so far the follow up has been very impressive.
My only gripe would be the 1.3 auto is a bit sluggish but the reality is this is HK and you soon realise that any sort of performance car is just a complete waste of time and money. I tested the others you mentioned but even now 6 months later it is great to drive.
