JUst wanted to let you know that Heinz have recalled the plain baby rice cereal from shelves as they are Improving it and the new stock won't be avaliable till mid sept. So we are suppose to use something else until then (my local supermarket doesn't even have another brand to offer!)
This could be the case in HK but not sure here in S'pore a few of us mums have been having trouble getting it and i have made call to a few different supermarkets and this was the answer i got. Just wanted to let you know what was going on.

there are also other brands: frisocrem, dumex and nestle. i started off with nestle but it's got sucrose. found gerber's baby rice cereal at ntuc fairprice...it's not the organic version but looks like it's got less sugar in it compared to other brands.

Weve just started on the Hipp Organic. You can get it from Bumps to Babes in HK. Not sure whether LO likes it or not as most of it went down her chin! But she didnt scream so well keep trying!

well not much to choose from at Parkway so my hubby got 2 tins of the nestle rice cereal as i am just about out of the heinz i might have to use it, can't find the receipt to return it anyway. I will try my best to find the gerber's, does gerber's have add colouring?

i'm clueless at reading labels but comparing gerber's to nestle, gerber's seems to have quite alot of vitamins and nutrients for the bub without added sugars. it doesn't mean zero sugar though. and doesn't look like there is added colouring.
i had a hard time finding gerber's...it was tucked away next to the organic food shelf at ntuc fairprice, not on the usual baby food shelves. so maybe you want to hunt around your local supermarket - if parkway i guess there's cold storage and giant?

polyvisol vitamin drops with Iron...your ped should be able to give it to you. I know it's readily available in HK. I bought mine online from the US and carried it over.

i'm having trouble getting some rice cereal without added sugar or colouring and i need some tomorrow! i don't have much time today to get out to look around or go to PD for the polyvisol drops do you think it would be ok to use the Heinz multigrain cereal as i actually have some of that. Bubs is now 6mths and 1 week? I will try to call PD to get advice but would appericate other mums thoughts.
