No internet connection

I am wondering if anybody can help me out with a situation I have with my internet.I have recently moved into a new place and I had PCCW come in and set up my internet, I had just bought a TP-Link router so the guy from PCCW helped me set that up and the internet works fine.I am looking at setting up a VPN on a router so I have now purchased a second router, an Asus RT-N12. I have set the router up and connected it to the PCCW modem and gone through the set up procedure. The problem is that when i click on my wifi connections it shows that I am connected to the new Asus router and the signal is strong but it says that there is no internet access.I am not sure what to do, is there anything that I can do or do I need to contact PCCW?Any help would be appreciated.Thanks
