There is a place in the Centrium Wyndham St that is a boxing gym. You can either have lessons or just use the equipment!

DEF at Centrium is the best. The big gyms with "boxing" classes with are clusless.

I know. Thought I could help get the message across. I send everyone who asks me about amateur/sport boxing to Jay. They are the best outfit in this field in HK.

There are 2 places in wan chai i believe. One is called Swish and the other is K1 (or K2). I think the latter is on Jaffe rd. I know Swish has moved recently but am not sure of the new address.

Absolutely the best after trying is Def Boxing in the Centrium Wyndham St-i agree with the above post that the big gyms with boxing added on are useless, for private lessons i was also quoted $100 per hour more at fitness first and they have absolutely no facilities except a worn out sandbag in a corner which due to classes you can never get to and some crap cheap gloves !They also wanted me to prepurchase a huge block of lessons into a 5 figure sum when i wasn't even sure boxing was for me

If you go to Def please try to get Dave( Lam) as your trainer.Dave is very patient(even with a beginner like i was) and a great motivator and you will definately progress under his guidance,,i strongly recommend him--i think he is a past hk champion

and Suze above is right the atmosphere there is great and you progress so fast in skills and fitness it becomes addictive!

Go to defboxing.com which has prices -i would then go to the gym and speak to Jay or Ralph (i think these guys are the owners)also great trainers and always willing to help out on technique etc even when there off- lesson time,

Indeed Jay is the owner and a great bloke to boot he organised a great Family trip to Lamma in the summer. My husband highly rates Ralph for his skill and patience!!!
