Well living in the village houses are great for fresh air but now that the heats set in lugging my groceries back is hard work. I know the big ones deliver but the choice is a bit limited. Is there another choice for vegetable and meat delivery?

Delivery Mon, Wed, Fri (for example 2x on Mon, 2x on Wed, 3x on Fri). They bill you once a month. 2875 0115 (I have found the guy is out in the afternoon so call in the morning).

- Leo’s Fine Foods. 2814 0302. Best place for meat and fish. Call and ask them to send you their catalog. They accept phone or email orders. The quality is excellent and the prices are about one third of the supermarket price. However they are wholesale so the minimum quantities of items are rather large (e.g. a whole tenderloin or one whole salmon fillet)

For the past couple of months, we have been ordering on the internet to get home delivery. So much better than going to City Super or Great and having to endlessly wait to pay.

- CitySuper – IFC Mall (Central) and Times Square Mall (Causeway Bay).

- Gourmet – Bottom of Lee Gardens (Causeway Bay).

- Oliver’s – Prince’s Building (Central). Quite small and exclusive. One of the few places that stocks Galliano.

- Three-Sixty - Top of the Landmark Building (Central). “Organic” image but frankly I find it a bit overhyped.

- Taste – High end sister store to Park ‘n Shop. Multiple outlets including Hopewell Center and Stanley Plaza.

- Frozen Meats Shop – Corner of Leighton Road and Matheson Street, Causeway Bay. Great selection of imported frozen meats. Look at the placards on the wall for today’s selection as you line up.

- Gateway – Corner of Wing Lok Street and Des Voeux Road Central (Sheung Wan). American foods. Sort of a mini-Costco. Check the prices every time as they range from reasonable to insane and they do change.

- Viva Italia – Horizon Plaza in Ap Lei Chai. Italian Foods.

- Le Salon de Thé Robuchon – Landmark Building. French Bakery.

- Il Bel Paese – Italian foods. Multiple outlets including two in Wan Chai. Read More

- Wan Chai Market has some great stalls, especially for vegetables. Some specialize in North American produce.
