Cellphone rip off, please help!!!

Hi. Someone has been using my mobile to rack up loads of idd calls. Prime suspect being my helper, who naturally swears innocence.

I want to know if someone could have hacked my phone or my provider's system, or cloned my phone, and if I were overseas for a period - during which the calls mysteriously stopped - would that affect said hackers?

Can my provider tell from my phone if the calls have been made from it or not?

Thanks

Can you check what IDD numbers those calls have been made to? If you can and if they are all to Phillipines or Indonesia or wherever your helper comes from, then she would have no more excuse to deny it.

Sorry, I meant to say, yes you can check the numbers to which calls have been made.

Yes, your SIM card can be cloned and used! it happened to a friend of mine in the UK who had her SIM card and car keys cloned... Lastest Porsche tech and the police was well aware of the scam....AS for the SIM card, she realised after receiving text messages from somebody who was obviously directing them to the other SIM card...

Actually I did, and she did confess, and the court case is going on now. Its getting way complicated with her claiming that she "had permission". I feel like a right numpty I can tell you.

Yes they are a tricky lot unfortunately. Personal experience. I hope you got it sorted out. It's your word against hers. In any case, why would an employer allow his Domestic Helper to use his cell phone? I can imagine my Boss in the office letting any of us do that. It's nonsense.
