Hi everyone,
I've been looking at places to live around Castle Peak Road in the NT, and yes some are really cheap but what it's like to live in this area?
What do you think I should look out for, ect.
Any info is welcome.
Thanks!

Well I don't know much about the area, where's it best to live (according to you)?

Castle Peak Road is the longest road in HK it goes from north Kowloon round the west NT the north NT all he way to Sheung Shui that's a huge area

Thanks Great12,
Useful info, I'll check Aqua Blue out. Are the NT nice to live in generally speaking? How's the expat community there?
190k, yes you're right. Pretty huge. I was looking at West Kowloon actually. Thanks.

Generally the whole area around Aqua Blue - Gold Coast - is a nice area to live in, and rental prices are, compared to other districts, quite reasonable!

Hi HarryB, yeah I checked it out, looks good. They're on my list.
Great12, actually since I am curious by nature, and like to learn, I am not relocating to HK to necessarily be around expats but rather to learn from the locals if I may say, so if there's a balance between locals & expats it'd be good lol.
Any other area I could have a look into? What about Sham Shui Po? Or Cheung Sha Wan?
The office will be located in Castle Peak Road near Ching Cheung Road.
I'll be on my own as well, and would rather live in a high rise - they seem to be more secure to me than living in villages (although some look really nice). Any input on that would be appreciated actually.
I admit I am a bit lost, since all I've looked into was HK island & Kowloon Bay ect.

Hi Pudding-delight. HK Gold Coast is located on Castle Peak Rd with convenient transports links to various locations. This area has a great mix of locals and westerners. I'm new to NT and enjoying the quiet/clean air, away from the city madness.
Please see details for this 2 bedroom flat, newly renovated, on a high floor with sea views.

Hi Mike, thanks for the info & link. I'll definitely keep you in mind, is it the only place you own?
Thanks

Great12, maybe you should crawl out of the hole where you've been for the last several years. New territories particularly Tuen Mun has been greatly developing and expanding its market base.
I'm advertising my flat all over both local & western based websites + real estate agencies (midland & centaline) and 15K is the market rate (of apartment in such good condition at GC phase II) according to HK local real estate agents. (Both are FACTS that can be checked if anyone is in doubt) Who are you again, a freelance estate agent? Do you even live in NT (or Gold Coast?) to be stating such misleading and offensive comments?

Great12, HKGC phase 2 was actually built in 1993, not the 80s. For a 20-year old complex it's pretty well maintained, things do deteriorate over time.
Agree on the advice to check out the area/environment/transport links and see for yourself. Good luck!
