Assisted passage to Australia

My 90 years old grandmother is visiting me on her way from the UK to Australia. She is flying with CX. She has mobility problems in that she cannot walk (slowly) for more than around 50 Yards. Does anyone have any experience with CX's assisted passage arrangements? Or do I have to fly to Australia with her?

Wouldn't the obvious thing be to contact CX yourself?

By the way, does she have travel insurance?

What you are told and what actually happens are entirely different things. the assistance provided at Heathrow was not good but that might be because there is a different attitude in England. I was hoping that passenger assistance to and from the aircraft in Hong Kong and Australia might be better than London and advice is sought from anyone who has experience of such.

It seems she could not get travel insurance because of her advanced age.
