Hi,


I am looking at buying a Mosquito Slayer but I need to able to buy CO2 for it to work.


Can anyone recommended a place where I can purchase the CO2 .

Not sure where to find in HK...


Wondering... do you find this item highly effective? I have some friends who have had dengue more than once... I might recommend to them if you have positive feedback...

Celberg, Beer gas and soft drink post mix is CO2. Some beers use a composite gas of Co2 and N2 which should still work. You can buy from Carlsberg (delivery) or contact Linde HKO 2372-2288 or csc@hko.linde.com . I would use the later option or contact the other industrial gas suppliers in HK.

If you call the industrial gas companies they will provide the bottle for a small monthly rental fee. By the way if you ring them and get a poor response dont give up.

thanks,actually called them got a great response.

$75 mth rental ,$670 to fill up 9kg bottle.

the above is for food co2 which i think think should be ok for my machine.


i thought i may buy an empty bottle as they also fill byo

Good to hear! The costs sound high but at your low volume the delivery portion is makes up alot of this. If you do ending buying a tank, be careful about testing costs and how often this needs to be done in HKG. Your rental cost of $900 will mean you will always have a tested and safe tank on hand. Keep in mind your full tank will have 800-900 psi inside (varies with temperature) and the value is the weakest point.

If you want some insect repellent you can make at home try 50% dettol and 50% baby oil. Shake it up is a spray bottle and you may be surprised. I lived in Cairns FNQ AUS and spend a lot of my time fishing in the creeks lined with mangroves and this was the only thing that worked for me that didn't have a high level of Deet in it.

How did your Mosquito Slayer work out? Our mosquito machine got ripped off the wall in the typhoon and now the store that imports them is out of business. Looking into getting a co2 machine this time. May I ask where did you buy your machine? Thanks!

I bought mine in oz through a company www.mosquitotechnology.org.

I spoke to andrew the inventor,i bought the mosquito slayer series 4 - Gas as recommended.

he gave me 6 mths supply of attractant etc,if you do buy from him,make sure he gives you the UK plug.

I rented the co2 cylinder and carbon dioxide (food and beverage grade)through Linde HKO not too

expensive. ph 2372 2372

Anyway back to you original question, its working a treat! its takes about 6 weeks to really take affect but our midge and mosquito problem has been given a real knock.
