So i know the kitchens are tiny in Hong Kong but how do people cook at home? Do you have friends over like we do in the US and UK?
Where are your favorite places to get good ingredients?

The size of your kitchen shouldn't matter, as long as you have a proper oven and not just a hob, but I guess even then you could still cook a decent meal, like a casserole for main course, soups or salads for starters, etc. And the key is to be well organised and prepare ahead as much as you can.
We often have friends over for dinner parties, although our kitchen isn't particularly small now, but we have lived in places with small kitchens and it never stopped us!
If your cooking something special and you want decent ingredients, best places to shop, I think, are Great, City Super, Olivers and for good meat/fish I tend to buy from South Stream (order online) or Pacific Gourmet. I'm sure others will add their favourite stores.
So, the answer to your question is yes, we do still have friends over:-)

The vast majority of the population eats out when they are socialising.
It is an interesting historical point that is probably lost these days - when the huge expansion of public housing happened (post 1949), none of these buildings had kitchens, in fact they had communal bathrooms. Each living unit was basically one room, which the residents could then divide up into sleeping and living quarters, as best they could.
All eating was done outside the home, at local eateries.
In all my time in Hong Kong, I have only been invited twice to a Chinese colleague's home. Once just to have a look at my deputy's proud new acquisition, and once at CNY.
