Hi - I bought a fairly expensive European light over a year ago (beyond warranty now). It comes with a "slider" as the turn on/off switch (and controls the dimness).
That "slider" is now broken (not responsive). Unfortunately when I contacted the store, they said they can't contact the original manufacturer as well for a replacement slider. I asked them if there is another solution. Let's just say customer service is not their strength (I'm surprised).
I tried to contact the manufacturer direct and no respond on email and when I called their asia pacific office, it's a restaurant!
Does anyone know a good lighting technician that I can ask about fixing this? Apart from the fact that it was expensive, I actually like it very much as an art piece.
Thanks.
AFAIK - a simple dimmer with an on/off switch is a good replacement.
However, you DO NOT improve your chances of getting a repair(wo)man if you FAIL to indicate what area of HK you live in !!!
Q.E.D.
