Hi
It all depends on what the US Embassy has told you. You may have to wait for a year if the US Embassy has clearly mentioned this period to you. They may have made an endorsement on your passport to state the above. It is unlikely they will change their regulations unless it is a matter of urgency. It is best to check with them again or make an appeal.
Cheers

Just a quick question to you GRL... Have you ever applied for this green card by Toll or something... if you did... then welcome to the black list of the United states of america....:).... Usually The US Immigration have problems with youngsters from Developing countries especially the ones who they have too many expats abroad... (Or any arab of course...and i am sure you know why).... Add to that if you are single.... and going for pleasure.... then this makes it even harder for you to get the visa.... EVEN IF ... you got loads of money here...this will not help....
Well i dont think an appeal would help... it is a government policy... and the US embassy, in my opinion, are the strictest people to grant visit visas....

A friend was unsuccessful in the the green card lottery, but a year later, was required to travel on a company's business trip and granted a short visa by trip basis(1 mth). It will help if your trips are sponsored by your company.

Will there be any difference if I'm single, only 4 months in HK as a resident, not much money but I'm a professional (an architect) and Filipino, unmarried, 41 years old and female.
Will they still be strict with this? I mean, I'm not a youngin and I definitely have no plans of staying in the US, I just want to visit historical places, visit my friends and also the tall architecture buildings.
I'm planning to apply for a US visa next year, around february or march. Will it be easy for me?
