Hi everyone,
I have a job interview coming up in the next few weeks, and was wondering how HK employers actually carry these interviews (the sort of questions that may be asked ect). So as a foreigner, if anyone could give me some guidance it'd be really appreciated!
Also, what are the things you think I need to keep in mind, or mention/prove?
Regarding the job, it's an executive position, and as far as I checked regarding salaries, what's a basic salary in HK for a professional executive?
The interview will be conducted online or via telephone, since I am not physically in HK.
Any tip's welcome!
Cheers!

Hi Pudding,
I dont think there are many standards - as an expat it seems salaries are totally varied. Depends where you're from, how much you were on before, if they are relocating you and including rent, flights home etc which seems to be getting rarer.
In my company everyone is on completely different packages, same with my husbands. And i mean totally different.
It not much help I know but maybe best to try asking some local recruitment agenst for ball park figures...
I had 2 interviews for my job, one with an American director and one with the British MD so they asked different style questions probably due to their backgrounds.
I guess you'd want to make it sound like you really want to live here for one!
Where are you coming from?

Hi Clop,
Thanks for your reply, and the valuable information you've provided me with.
Actually, what I did was check online what average salaries one could be expecting to get (in my case).
I am actually French, living in the UK.
The employers aren't actually Western, but Hong Kongese. Not sure what difference that'd make actually, beside what you mentionned (ie: showing I wanna relocate to HK).
