Hi
I left my job last December 2013 to go home to Manila to attend some personal business. I'm currently employed but I would like to return to HK to work. My previous HK employer has agreed to let me work with them again come June.
My question is, I just renewed my visa last Oct 2013, and it is valid until 2015. If I return to HK, would I need to re-apply for a new visa under the same employer?
Also, I have my HKID with me, will I be able to use it or do I have to go through the same process of getting a new ID once I reenter HK?

Hi your HKID will still be usable, as in the same case as mine I was away from HK for 2 years and have just arrived back, my new visa is activated against my existing HKID so all is fine... not sure on your visa situation though..

If your employer did not inform immigration that they cut your visa, then it should be still effective (until 2015). It's like you just went on a long vacation, or you were assigned to work offshore.
