seeking advice: my boy has difficulty pronouncing s..

Our boy is 3yr 8mth old. He's fluent in English and very talkative.

It's been some time that I felt he has trouble pronouncing 's' and 'z'. Instead of 'sweet', he says 'thweet'. Zebra - thebra, sign - thign...etc.

When he was 2.5yr old I found it cute, but not now.

Is there any reasonably priced speech therapist in HK?

Thank you!

My daughter naturally grew out of it when she started learning phonics at school. It was due to the structure of her mouth which can only be fixed later( we found out by chance on her dentist check up) but, in the meantime, going through letter by letter helped her get the correct sounds.

If your gut instinct tells you that it should be checked out, checking his hearing could be useful too. My son had a period of constant ear infection when he was a baby and the ENT doctor didn't release his periodic check up until the hearing test results were fine. The doctor said that he sees quite a lot of children struggling to pronounce properly due to hearing problems as they replicate what they hear.
