Flip-flops blister-preventers

Determined to grow to love my new Fit Flops even though after just two short outings in them the skin on both feet between my big toe and next toe was a fetching shade of scarlet and hosted large open blisters where the thong bit rubbed :-(

So, my question is: are there soft discreet sleeve-type things out there that I can wrap 'round the thong and use until my feet harden up? I'm sure I saw something like this ages ago but just had a quick peek in Sasa with no success.

Should appreciate any advice - now those original pesky blisters have healed I'm applying rubbing alcohol several times a day, which is supposed to help, but not looking forward to more blisters when I next don my 'healthy' Fit Flops.

I know what you're saying Kenko93 but actually my feet are flip-flop friendly, with toes splayed out like a Mangyan, as I've worn them for decades. It's just this particular thong that's giving me grief :-(
