Relocation abroad. Watch out for the company you choose

Despite having collected few quotations and tried to checked carefully all the options at the end the company I have chosen found the way to scam me and it behaved really unprofessionally.
I packed a certain amount of cuft and I had to pay for 30% more with no clear explanation (according to the terms of the contract)
Once I paid, they did not keep me updated about the situation of my shipment and after 2 months, that was suppose (by contract) to be the time it should arrive, it was only in Europe (half a way). So they passed it to their “sister company” and disappeared when instead, by law, they got the contract and the money so they should be responsible for the all process.
Sister company acted exactly in the same way and after many calls, emails, a lot of inconveniences (all my clothes and documents were there) and 4 MONTHS I received my stuff. In Italy.
Extremely stressful experience. Because once they got all your belongings, you cannot do anything. They lead the game and you can just hope to get them back as soon as possible and at the best condition!
Btw if the company suggests you to check its rating on a website called MoveAide, do not trust it. Review are fake (my guess) and once you put a complaint, it is not fairly treated.

TBH I have not heard of either of those companies but thanks for the warning as there are many nightmare movers stories out there. I have only ever used Allied Pickfords or Santa Fe for both local and international moves. Both are excellent, I know with either one they will follow through and provide a great service. As to which one of them I choose is purely dependant on the quote they give me and I go with the cheaper one out of the two.
