When moving to a new place: Consider Renovation Noise

One thing to SERIOUSLY consider before moving into an "estate" or housing development: NOISE. Visit any potential new flat during the day (not weekends) and see just how many (future) neighbors are doing renovation. I live in The Beverly Hills in Tai Po. CONSTANT noise from jackhammering. As I write, there are three jackhammers going at two neighbor's houses. When one project finishes, another begins. It. Never. Ends. (Been going on for 2 years now). I would NOT recommend The Beverly Hills, unless of course continual construction noise is something you enjoy... then come on over! (The word from the management is that these neighbors are "well within their rights" to do these renovations and make this unbearable noise Monday through Saturday).
