Im shocked that no one can recommend a carpenter. Grief. Are all the noble professions still down Wan Chai? By the hour gentlemen?

I was only this morning laying out planks of wood and drill bits and set squares getting ready to attempt the job myself. Then I remembered the wooden chess board I built at school. Something Gaudi might have made after a bottle too many, way too many.

Put every thing away again.

So thanks.

try the management in your building. Mine are really helpful and that is how I find 90% of my tradies.

No response maybe you did not tell more WHAT do you need built ?

Handyman - to hangup hardware of a bookshelf ? Or

To custom build a piece of furniture from scatch ? Big difference.

Sounds like you need a handyman

Do you speak enough Cantonese or does the guy have to speak fluent English ?

You need to offer more info.

Hi Philip.

Gosh Ya I forgot to mention the task at hand. Sorry about that.

Well, OK I have collected enough oily marine teak to make fish covers for the endangered breed goldfish I keep the "Shanghainese calico pearl".

This took a lot of travel for both fish and wood. Anyway I have six of the rare fish and about 124 polished rounded off teak slats and roughly 40 marine teak thingies each about four meters long to rest the covers on for each Chinese ceramic fish pot (bird style).

Is far less complicated than its sounds. But I need to arrange the slates so they can roll up. This is because the fish are very precious (long history endangered) and because large fishing owls, night herons and black kites amongst many constantly want to eat them.

I have a nice dark green Thai fishing net nylon "thread" to bind them to each other. So all I need is for 12 holes to be drilled into each 124 slats, and for the binding to be appropriately and artistically threaded through so I end up with a nice roll of teak that I can roll out every evening as roof for my loving fish.

Hope thats clear enough. Almost like fish blinds if you know what I mean. The wood is from Burma originaly and has a lovely waxy feel. Each slat is about 1cm thick or so maybe a bit more and 1,5m long.

Please contact me if you would like to do the job. All work must be done on site.

Thanks Lawrence

Hi

We recently had word done by a contractor in Discovery Bay and they did a fantastic job. They came in to fix up the absolute mess WP Engineering made of our apartment. They are now under investigation by the EMSD as well as the police for the work they have done for us and other clients.

If you want to the details of the DB Contractor please contact Hung Kee Co. 2987 5087.

My friend would love to move out, he's a carpenter.
