Hi, it's time to pack my hospital bag and I remember from previous births that the Queen Mary prefer you to have those awful non-adhesive maternity pads for some reason. I remember last time I tried to get away with one packet of adhesive pads and one with the loops but they sent my husband off to buy more with the loops in their preferred brand. Can anyone tell me if they are still so adamant about this? Also, I can't remember how the non-adhesive ones with the loops work. Do I have to buy something to hold them up with (like elastic) or is everything included in the packet?
Thanks in advance!!

Hi, this is exactly what I've been curious about. I wanted to know which ones are the best to buy to pack in my bag but now Im unsure if they like you to use a certain pad, surely not?

They were definite about me not using the adhesive ones (especially directly after the birth) but I can't remember what they used to tie the other kind. Once I was back in the ward and doing things for myself, I just used the normal adhesive pads and it was no problem. It is only while they are still taking care of you directly after the birth that they ever really see the pads but for that they are (or were) quite specific!

I used the adhesive pads at the Prince Of Wales, except for the first one straight after the birth.
