I've been using fish or pork, and add to that a green vegetable to make congee.

What do you 6 month olds eat?

Do you have the baby food book by Annabel Karmel? It's an excellent book to buy and gives you lots of ideas for homemade food.

Hi - I've used with great success with my daughter, Super Baby Foods by Ruth Yaron. It explains which foods to introduce at which months (so helpful) and gives lots of pointers on which foods to feed your child in order to boost his or her immune system. it's a bit hard to find - but it's been great for my daughter. She's never been sick - sticks everything in her mouth, never constipated, and eats really healthily. She starts most of her mornings with a brown rice, whole grain congee, and I add whatever "vegetable" cubes I want.

Locally Dr Lauren Bramley has written a book called 'Baby's Table' with advice and recipies. I believe it is in book stores or we sell it at the hospital.
