Hk does not allow maternity leave to be used as 'notice' in any way. So, technically, you are NOT allowed to terminate your contract during your leave. Your choices are:
1. Hand in your notice before the baby arrives and have no maternity allowance.
2. Go back to work after 10 weeks and work out your notice.
Re; point 1, i think if you are discussing with your employer your leave etc.,then they MAY come to some arrangement with you if you need to terminate your contract prior to the birth even if the notice period would be shorter than normal, but obviously, thats their call.
