Is it true that if you don't have stretch marks after the first pregnancy, you won't have them after the second pregnancy?
Thanks!

totally false! I had none with my first and got them all over with my second (with same amount of weight gained). I think this happened b/c with my first my belly itched like crazy so I was always applying a good quality moisturizing cream. With my second, I wasn't itchy, therefore I didn't moisturize and I think that's what caused them. Boy do I wish I could go back in time! Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!!!

oh dear, I'd better apply cream this time! I didn't apply cream diligently with the first pregnancy, only when the tummy was itchy.
Any recommendation on a good cream?

I used Eucerin cream (it comes in a jar) from the US. I might have an extra one that I haven't opened if you want to buy it off me!

my grandma has 11 children and no stretch marks because she religiously dabs on 4711 cologne all over the areas prone to it after delivery. i have 2 kids and not a single line! might want to try it

I have heard about Shea Butter being good.... sounds like many things work and the key is to be sure to apply every day, everywhere!
When should you start applying? When you start to show or even before?

Don't forget your hips and thighs because you will gain weight there too.

I didn't apply any cream and am now in week 39. I don't think it makes a difference if you use all those creams - you are either prone to get stretch marks or not. That's also what they tell you in the books. Therefore I also didn't bother to start in the first place.
