I was hoping to find out if you need to be a PR of HK to have a baby in a public hospital.
ALSO
Has any one been told not to go swimming or have sex in their first trimester?

Hi, I've been told not to have sex, but I am also high risk pregnancy. Never heard of no swimming tough. No sex apparently is to keep your uterus, cervix calm until the embryo is fully settled.
Best!

1. You need a valid HK ID card to get the almost-free treatment in HK hospitals. It does not need to be a PR ID card.
2. No swimming and sex. There is no clinical need to avoid either. However, if you have a past history of miscarriages, or there are other issues, a doctor may well err on the side of caution, and suggest that nothing disturb the pregnancy. If for no other reason, if something were to go wrong, you would blame yourself for not having taken all measures to keep healthy.

Thansk for all your replys. I don't want to risk anything if i become pregnant, of course not. I just wanted to see if maybe my Dr was passing on her personal opinions or some local folk law. I trust her completely but i'd not heard of being advised this before.
Glad to hear about the Public hosptial system allowing HK ID holders to use the system, thanks for that info docboat.
