Hi does anyone have any natural remindies they can recomend for a cold. It's mainly sinus i was wondering if inhaling eucalyptus steam would be safe. Thanks

Great thanks, not too worried already watching the crappy TV but no oven here to cook a roast (so sad)if fact we are having a big BBQ tonight with about 15 people so working up the energy to go the supermarket!!!!

lots of hot steam...
try a bowl with hot water, and a towel over your head...
You can put essentiak oils too, but check with your doctor which ones are safe for you. (Dr Susan Jaimeson has a mix for colds that you can use while pregnant).
Lots of hot water, ginger, lemon, honey...
Lots of sleep, soup, hot liquids, drink, drink, drink....
Also, see your doctor if it gets bad, there is one medicine you can take while pregnant - CTM or CMT (can't remember) it will make you sleep, but it helps.

any doctor will know about CTM, a GP gave it to me... it is an antihistamine, that is safe to use in pregnancy, it makes you sleep, but helps clear your sinus/nose. So any doctor should be able to let you know about this.
My GP told me about it, but I didn't have any with me when I went on holiday and then got really bad sinusitis. I went to the clinic, and the doctor said 'my wife was pregnant and she could only take CTM, let me just check on the computer again for you'.... and he gave me some. So I think any doctor can help if you are really desperate.
It is not as good as 'sudafed' or the other cold medicine you might be used to.... but it is better than nothing!
Another thing that helps is sleeping with your head elevated - use 2-3 pillows. And loads of steam.... even if you are not showeing, you can put the shower on hot and sit oustide the shower inhaling the steam...
For essential oils that are safe - google web search will give you some good results.
I have had lots of sinus problems for years, being pregnant just makes them more common and without sudafed (my favourite remedy) I have had to resort to everything I did when I was a kid... the steam, the hot drinks, the elevated head while sleeping... so they are good things to learn, because you might be sitting up with your child in a few years getting them to inhale steam!
anyway - hang in there, two more days and your Doctor is back!! just keep your head elevated, drink hot ginger/lemon/honey, and inhale steam as much as you can all weekend...
