Just wondering whether anyone can give me advice on pre-eclampsia?
I have been diagnosed as 'at high risk' of having this, and am going back to hosptial for checks this week. Have read up on it a bit, but no-one I know has ever had it and I'm trying to calm myself with positive stories. I am currently 35 weeks.

You'll probably do better with this in the pregnancy forum

I am certain that you have friends who have had it, it is VERY common but not a great talking point.
The condition has several names Pre-Eclamptic Toxemia of pregnancy, pre-eclampsia, toxemia and more recently PIH (pregnancy induced hypertension)
Wth care the outcome is usually good. It does however usually mean that you cannot work in the last month of pregnacy. The essentials of care are to break the day up and spend an hour horizontal and to drink lots of water to wash away the salt that your body is retaining.Medications can lower the blood pressure but do NOT influence the outcome.

Agree with DocM
Besides at 35 weeks the baby will be fine even if they induce you (or do a c-section), which they may do if it's bad (inducing that is).
Bottom line, the odds for a great outcome for you and the baby is excellent at this stage.

Hi my first pregnancy I was diagnosed for pre-enclampsia at high risk as well, the doctor advice me to go on an emergency CS to protect my baby.I was so worried as it was only 32 weeks havent reach the due date yet,my baby was too small (1.33 kg)but then I just follow the doctors advice.Evrything was fine afterwards.
Just calm down I know how you feel, everything will be alright ,just follow the doctors advice it will be good for you and for your baby.Good luck !
