I would ask your doctor these questions, only they can answer which medicines are safe and which are not.

I was sick a lot of my the first trimester and was given CMT which is safe during pregnancy, as is panadol and at one point was so sick needed an antibiotic, but I really limited what I took.

I was also given essential oils to inhale with steam and took lots of hot steamy showers to help with the cough, drank loads of fluids and hot soups.

After fearing I would be that sick the whole time, my health the 2nd and 3rd was much better - just some pregnancy sniffles.

Hope you feel better soon and your doctor can give you good advice and some alternative medicines.

there is a balance - if you did not take the medicine you could cause more harm than good. you just need to trust your doctor, and ask your OBGYN if you need a second opinion.

It is better not to take any medications unless hospitalisation is required for the bed rest.

Warm showers, Warm Water, is good.
