Am planning baby number two and after going through the public system for number one I have decided to take out insurance and go private this time. If I take insurance now, I have to wait 12 months before claiming, so hopefully only 2 years of insurance premiums.....my dilema is, is there an OB that does an antenatal and delivery package so, should I fall pregnant this year I can claim all of the charges in the end after the 12 month waiting period? Saw Dr Dawkins as my Ob privately before public delivery last time and loved him but he doesn't do the all-in-one package (apparantly he used to). Any suggestions? Thanks.

check your insurance- the maternity waiting period is not usually based on the date of the claim, but the date of conception or birth.
we use allianz and have been amazed at all they cover!
talk to neil raymond at kwiksure (advertised on this site) for more info - he is very good.
good luck!!

Ring Dr Choy at Care for Women (3112 0480) and talk to her about her packages. She has received lots of recommendations and is very highly thought of.

Thanks crj and Tica. I have spoken to kwiksure and Allianz has come out tops plus only a 10 month waiting period, so if it all goes to plan (!!!) I will only have to pay for a few check ups myself and the rest will be covered. Great!
