I have dull pain on my side of abdomen. Nurse told me it's probably ligament being pulled, and told me to watch it for a few days and if it doesn't go away, come and see the doctor. It's the sort of pain that you'd have when ovulating... Has anyone have the same symptom? Hope it is nothing that would harm the baby...

Hiya mm, I often get a pulling pain on my right side, lower ab, yes, its like an ovulation pain. It's not constant, but when I stretch or yawn or turn its there. From all the books I've read I've written it off as round ligament pain...

MM, when are you due? I've just entered the third trimester - 28 weeks... the bubba's kicking like you wouldnt believe. Hubby put his hand on my stomach last light and took it off again like he'd been burnt when he got a solid kick for his efforts! I said, welcome to my world... I love it though, it tells me he's growing and well.
That said, I can commiserate somewhat the weight is bearable in the morning, but towards the end of the day I cant walk the way I used to, it feels like I'm walking with weights on my thighs and ankles - lifting my legs is so much harder. And I have three months more to go! My energy is still OK, but my back is starting to hurt. Trying to stay straight and do the yoga, that helps. But I can certainly feel the difference, even in these last two weeks.

I had round ligament pain too but it did get better again later on - think that the ligaments hurt most when they are stretching out around the 2nd trimester stage. Am now 33 weeks. Find that any discomfort is more around my lower back now. Prenatal pilates really helps as does those belly bra things. You can buy them at bumps to babes. Good luck!

Hi firsttimemom, I'm 20weeks now, and the just started feeling some kicks. Well, it's not strong kicks, but more like strong twitch on my muscles... I don't feel heavy so much at the moment, but anything is just 10 times hard as it used to be, be it walking, doing yoga, running errands, etc. I just take it easy and rest whenever I need to. I almost always work at home, and when I go to office, I just become very tired and cannot sit straight, so I admire mothers who works in the office througout their pregnancy.
Sam100, I used to do pilates for my lower back pain before pregnancy. Where can you get prenatal pilates??? I'm going to try this new SPA opened in Mongkok this weekend. They have prenatal massage. Will let you know how it went!

Hi Simplythebest,
Wow only two months for you? Time flies. I am so happy and excited for you!!! We haven't sat down and talked about delivery options yet, but we will after this 4D Ultra sound anomally scan next week. There are things I am not 100% happy about Dr Ho, but since he has halped my pregnancy so far and has been good in what he does, I will stick with him unless we find something we really don't like during the discussion. I am basically a naturalist, but I do have trust in western medicine as well (especially after I concevied through IUI), I would go for normal hospital delivery...probably Canossa or Matilda. I dream of home labor or water labor, but I just cannot write off the risk of having complication as I am quite old. Well, we'll see what Dr Ho says. How about you? Have your planned it with Dr. Ho yet????

Hi MM, There is a great prenatal pilates class run at the YWCA on MacDonnell Road, Mid Levels. Unfortunately it is only held once a week but you can try the exercises at home too.

I'm not sure it's legal to have home births in HK. I could be wrong but a friend told me that if you accidentally deliver at home, you have an ambulance and 2 police officers come to your home to witness the cutting of the umbilical cord.
