Hi ladies! Can anyone offer some advice to a newbie - I am supposed to get IUI done this week and my doctor recommends doing two IUI's over two days (one on Friday and then another on Saturday). Since each IUI is very costly, I wanted to know if two IUI's over two days is really necessary? Or would I just be spending a lot of extra money for little or no benefit?

So you have Dr Doo? :-) Statistically, there's some benefit in doing it twice but not all doctors do it (and Dr Ho doesn't) But one of our cycles came up where the second would've been on a Sunday, and he (Dr Doo) just told us take advantage of the opportunity ourselves.
You don't have to, of course, but my feeling was that since IUI was MUCH less expensive and invasive that IVF, that I wanted to make sure we gave ourselves the best chance possible before giving up and moving on.
