I'm due in November and have been reading up on hypnobirthing and have looked into taking a class with the Annerley Midwives. Does anyone have experience of giving birth using these techniques ? Anyone recommend it ?

I used it in S'pore i gave birth just 5mths ago, and i think it's great for your pregnant state all the CDs and exersices you do are very relaxing and can only be positive for you and baby as for the deliverly part i'm not sure i can really comment. It's really important to be positive about it, it's all about state of mind and how relaxed you can be physically. Listning to negative stories about birth, labour in any form (hypnobirthing, C sections etc) is unheathly for this technique. If you really want to know about my labour using hypnobirthing i will tell you, it isn't horrific or anything just not the most positive but that could be due to the technique of hypnobirthing or other things or both.
