Hi Sashimi Girl,

It's best to check with a naturopath for dosage and supply of Vitex, but in general, it is meant to be taken every morning throughout your cycle.

It is a supplement to help regulate your hormones and your cycles, rather than to 'cause' ovulation. If you are not generally ovulating, then you should be seeking other medication.

Being a supplement rather than a drug, it is not meant to be a 'quick fix' and it is advised that it takes around 3 months for the effect of taking it to make a difference to your cycle.

Having said that , my first three cycles after starting to take it were of 'normal' length, whereas usually they are are very long and irregular, so it did seem to have an effect.

Ironically though the cycle I fell pregnant it was back to being a long / irregular one.

Good luck!
