Anybody know how long you have to wait after an unsuccessful IVF before trying a FET?

Yes you're right due for my blood test today. Unfortunatly I've been spot bleeding each morning since Friday so i am assuming this is my peiod trying to come on. My question was a lame attempt to be proactive rather than go home and curl up in a ball and cry my eyes out. Hubby away so had a small self pity party yesterday, anyway off for the blood test at nine today for confirmation.

Well you'll know for sure in a couple of hours....it's a stressful wait, isn't it? I had to cheat, took a pee test the morning my blood test was taken. Thought I just couldn't handle the news first by phone call from the doctor's office.
I wish you the best. And isn't it good you HAVE embryos to transfer. One of my dear friends had 2 IVF's and 2 FET's. Both IVF's failed, both FET's were successful--so stay hopeful, no matter what today's news may bring.

sorry to hear that. It happened to me too. Actually I think that for some the success rate is beter with FET because the body needs to recover more just after the IVF egg collection/ operation.. Thats my explanation why it did not work. But my FET, 1st one after my IVF was successful (as well as a friend of mine). I had to wait one month to start this because i had a cyst(called it a 'leftover) after my IVF which luckily disappeared after on it's own (+ taking the pill).
I was disappointed I could not start again right away but I think the rest was actually really good, after 2 weeks I was happy and looking forward to start the new procedure again.

You can try FET as early as the following cycle.
Occasionally, there may be some ovarian cyst as a result from hyper-stimulation during IVF. In those cases FET can be done as soon as the ovaries return to normal, say in 1 - 2 months.

I had my FET two months after IVF which failed.
Keep trying. Best of luck for you!
After the embryos are put back in, , please remember to take things easy for a few days and minimize you exercise/activity level in the 2 weeks wait. Although many doc have different opinion about activities that one can do in 2ww but I think rest as much as possible worked for me and many successful IVF mothers.

I am going back next month for the FET. After the ivf the docs office said one day rest if I felt like it, but this time I think i will take a few more and be really lazy. Glad to her yours worked positive stories are great
