I think 7-8 months is ideal. That way you are about the same due date as others in your class, but ask where you register so you can be with others similar with due dates.

Where are you planning on giving birth? You can ask that hospital.

Otherwise on HKI, Annerley Midwives (and they have a package including home visits which are really really worth it!!), Matilda, Adventist.

I do think the Annerley package with home visits is a great idea. That way you get to know your midwife before, and then you get one private session and they visit your home 5 or more times after you give birth. I know many many women who swear that the home visits are what kept them sane!!

Good luck!!

We run antenatal classes at the hospital and will soon start some in our central clinic (Matilda Medical Centre, 9 Queen's Road Central). If you would like details please feel free to give Debbie a call on 2849 0357 or check out the website. You do need to book early though as they fill up fast.
