you should ask your Dr but we travelled with our daughter atless than 3 mths. Your main concern is for their ears as they can't regulate the pressure. You can solve this by feeding during take off as as the plane is climbing and during the decent and landing. we flew qyite at bit from 3 mths to australia and the UK

I'm pretty sure most airlines won't take an infant less than 2 weeks. I flew HK to Manila when my bb was 5 weeks and to tokyo at 7 weeks. Research I've done says docs don't like infants under 3mos to travel because of the exposure to germs on an immature immune system. Personally, I think traveling long haul is easier the younger they are because they'll sleep almost the entire time!

Most healthy full term babies can fly at two weeks of age and sometimes sooner, provided your baby has a clean bill of health and you had a pregnancy and delivery without complications.

Premature babies are especially susceptible to infections, so it may take longer before they're ready for air travel.

If you have any questions about whether your baby is healthy enough to fly, ask your pediatrician for advice. Note that some airlines do not allow any baby younger than 1 week to fly without a doctor's note.

A friend travelled from London to the US (midwest) with her two-week old baby. Of course, it helped that she was ground staff for the airline and all the flight crews knew her and were more than happy to help in any way.

The biggest problem was quickly coming up with a name for the birth certificate to get the passport.
