My last preg ended w a m/c at 6 wks. Now I got preg again. I've been very worried. I just did an ultrasound at 12wks few days ago. We saw our baby moving alot and even heard its strong heartbeat. Should I start to relax?

thanks :)

Yes! Cngratulations! That must be such a relief for you.

I cannot remember the statistics, but a heartbeat and normal measurements at that stage tend to predict a normal pregnancy. Although I must admit that I hate being told to relax - so much more easily said that done....

Congratulations!!!!

yes - u should. Did you ask your doc? Normally he tells you at this stage that you can start relaxing and that the risk of miscarrying is low.

I did not ask my doc about it. Bcos i always forget to ask...Perhaps being forgetful is normal when preg haha

Congrats Well2.

you are past the "worry" point. I forget the actual statistc, but after 12 weeks the rate of miscarriage drops dramatically. I had massive bleeding at the 16th week or something and I called my father in a panic who calmly replied "at week 16, less than 5% chance of miscarriage. Don't worry." I had a beautiful baby girl 20 weeks later. So yes, relax. After all your hard work - you deserve to rest and relax! CONGRATS WOMAN!

Hi Well2,

It seems yesterday when we are all TTC, YES, you can relax now, all is going to be well. But know that this worrying will never stop, maybe when our baby is already married, then we don't have to worry anymore.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Time flies so fast, enjoy your pregnancy, take photos every month.
