possible the baby is mine?

I had a one night thing with my ex gf on 16/11 at about 5am. I did wear condom, but I don't remember we used it from the start or not because we were very drunk and i normally do use it from the start. She had unprotected sex with her bf on the same day.

Anyway, she is now pregnant. She does chart her BBT and i asked her for it. Its like..

***low = low temperature. High = hihg temperature and so on

16/11 no record #sex w me(condom) then unprotected sex w her bf

18/11 36.33 low

19/11 36.38 low #unprotected sex w her bf

20/11 36.40 low

21/11 36.43 low (noticable creamy CM)

23/11 no record #unprotected sex w her bf

24/11 36.24 very low (noticable creamy CM) #unprotected sex w her bf

25/11 36.57 middle-high

26/11 36.50 middle

Is is possible that she ovulated on 21/11 and the thermometer had problem on 24/11? Because she said 36.24 was way too low compared to her normal temperatures in records and she never had ovulation dip before.


She went to the doctor 3 days ago on 2/1 and he confirmed she was 8 weeks pregnant according to the ultrasound scan that day.


Possible that the baby is mine?

If she is eight weeks pregnant then she would have had to conceived around the 7th of November. If she have sex with her boyfriend on the 24th and conceived then, she would around 5.5 weeks. Probably she ovulated on late on the 24th (or early on the 25th) and conceived on the 25th.

i also asked her that. But she said the doctor told her that the date of conception equal to 2 weeks preg. So she could conceive between 20/11-24/11.

paternity test is the only way to know for sure.

Condoms are quite reliable. 97% successful if you use them correctly.

In your situation, even if it broke during intercourse or you actually didn't use it. I would say its very low chance the baby is yours. Cos sperm can only survive max 5 days in good quality cm inside women body, average last 72 hrs and even die within hours if no cm present. You had sex with her on 16/11. If she ovulated on 24/11 or even 21/11, your sperm should have been dead already. Besides, she didn't seem to have any CM days after you had sex with her? Think your sperm did not survive longer than 2 days.

p.s. i personally think she ovulated on 24/11, when she had the lowest temperature. That could be an o dip. Each cycle is different.
